Description
This tea is grown on the hill slopes in the southern states of India, the main tea district being the Nilgris. The plantations are at elevations ranging from 100 to 7000 feet above sea level. The cropping season lasts throughout the year. The Estates are very close to Equator.

Fine flavoured teas are produced in some gardens of the Nilgris, characterized by small leaf with a bright liquor and pronounced lemony and fruity flavour. This clean character is the dominating feature of these teas. This unique flavour prevails throughout the year in varying degrees. This Nilgiri selection is like some teas of Sri Lanka Uva District.

The gently wooded slopes of the Blue Mountains of South India produce the world famous Nilgiri tea.

Characterisd by small leaf with bright liquor, they have a pronounced, clean lemony flavour derived from the high elevation that prevails in the Nilgris. These teas are famous for their cup character and it can be enjoyed with or without milk.

How To Make

Each pack has twenty five grams of loose tea. Use half the quantity of one sachet in a five/ six cups tea pot. Pour of boiling water over the leaf in the pot.

Cover with a tea cosy for five minutes and then stir the infusion inside the pot. You may steep for lesser time as per requirements.

Use more milk in Assam tea and very little in Green Tea and Nilgiri Teas of India. Some connoisseurs drink them straight, especially Kangra Green Tea and Green Tea black tea.
